‘The Batman’ Halts Production After Robert Pattinson Tests Positive For COVID-19

September 3, 2020 Jordan Ruimy

Update:

Well, as sheer luck would have it, or the lack thereof, the positive case now turns out to be Robert Pattinson, the star of the film. Chances are he’ll survive, but production has now officially been delayed for at least two weeks. The WB are still refusing to say who the person was that got the virus, but Vanity Fair confirms its Pattinson.

With filming on Matt Reeves’ “The Batman,”  which only resumed three days ago after pausing 5 1/2 months ago, a positive COVID-19 case emerged on-set. Warner Bros. are not giving any additional detail of who it might be, and the studio is keen on “protecting their workers’ privacy”. I expect to see more headlines like this if more films continue to resume production
