It is no secret that Todd Phillips’ “Joker” is highly anticipated by a wide range of cinephiles. Even with a hard R rating firmly planted on its poster, the Joaquin Phoenix-starring movie is projected to nab an opening weekend of $77+ million at the box-office. Of course, that is a very early prediction to make since ‘Joker’ isn’t supposed to be released until October 4th. A lot can happen between now and then, especially when it comes to the multiple reactions it will receive at its TIFF and Venice festival bows, but the buzz for this movie is deafening.
