Christopher Nolan's ‘Tenet': Prologue to Be Shown Right Before ‘The Rise of Skywalker' Showings

November 27, 2019 Jordan Ruimy

A new movie by Christopher Nolan is always a cause for celebration. The British-born filmmaker rarely follows the rules as a mainstream filmmaker — he’s a maverick in an industry that is a total and utter sea of muck for creativity.

Nolan’s latest feature is titled “Tenet,” it stars Robert Pattinson and John David Washington and, rumor has it, has a plot revolving around a globe-trotting adventure in the same vein as Alfred Hitchock’s “North By Northwest.”

Although, set for a summer 2020 release, “Tenet” is about to have an exclusive IMAX prologue that will likely be released before the end of the year. According to Trailer Track, the prologue will be released alongside the upcoming “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” Most recently, the filmmaker did something similar by having the epilogue for his “Dunkirk” premiere at the tail-end end of 2016.

As mentioned, not much is known about “Tenet” other than it’s a spy film. Washington and Pattinson are part of a cast which also includes Elizabeth Debicki, Himesh Patel, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh.

Nolan’s “Tenet” is expected to be released on July 17, 2020.
