‘The Banker': Apple TV+ Think They Have an Oscar Contender in This Sam Jackson/Anthony Mackie Vehicle. I Certainly Don't.

November 4, 2019 Jordan Ruimy

Apple TV+ launched just last week. It’s too early to tell how the streaming service’s first-week numbers look like, but Apple no doubt wants to dominate a streaming war which, more and more, looks like it will be between Netflix and Disney+.

The film is directed by George Nolfi (“The Adjustment Bureau”) and arrives in theaters on December 6.

The bigger the dream, the higher the price. The Apple Original Film #TheBanker comes to theaters on Dec 6. Based on a true story, "The Banker" centers on revolutionary businessmen Bernard Garrett (Anthony Mackie) and Joe Morris (Samuel L.
