They note that Gunn is currently in complicated negotiations with Disney over his exit. They estimate the firing might have Gunn exiting the mouse house with around $7 million to $10 million in his pockets, if not higher.
THR is also reporting that Warner Bros. is very interesting in speaking to Gunn about some upcoming projects, but that the director is not permitted to entertain such offers while exit negotiations with Disney are ongoing. Warner Bros, of course, owns the DCEU and it would be quite amusing to see Gunn jump ship and basically bring his meta style, which has been the blueprint used for most MCU films post-Guardians, to DC films. The DCEU has been trying to find a new look and style to better their product for the masses. Gunn might be that answer.
Snyder has mentioned in the past how “Sucker Punch “never really got finished correctly,” and that it was “not really the correct cut.” The extra footage is actually already shot.
