With a hostless 91st Academy Awards about to be unveiled to us on February 24th, here comes the news that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, was approached to host the gig. Which only amplifies the obvious fact that the Academy is trying to turn the Oscars into the MTV movie awards, what with Kevin Hart/The Rock touted as hosts, the technical categories being announced during commercial break and the pathetic Best Popular Oscar category trying to adhere to the fanboy contingent of viewers.

However, now that Cena has made a career acting in such films as "Blockers," "Trainwreck," "The Wall" and this weekend's newly-released blockbuster "Bumblebee,"  he now admits that he was wrong to criticize Johnson, “I’m sorry and I was wrong,” he said during an appearance on the Gorilla Position Podcast (via Screen Rant). “That’s the best thing I can do.”

October 9, 2018 Jordan Ruimy

Step by step Netflix is planning their film industry takeover. At least, that's where it's headed.

Netflix has convinced some of the most important Hollywood filmmakers and stars to make the jump to the small screen. After all, Hollywood execs from other major studios have all but killed the idea of giving highly talented directors the room for creative freedom.

It's not just Scorsese, the Coens, and Cuaron, but also other high-level directors such as Paul Greengrass, Jeremy Saulnier, David McKenzie, Noah Baumbach, J.C. Chandor, Andrew Dominik, and even, beyond the grave, Orson Welles that will be releasing Netflix original movies in the next few months.
