I’ve been looking extensively into a possible new A24 project today. It looks like this is an exclusive, I don’t see anybody else having reported on it.
I can confirm that A24 will produce “Babygirl,” starring Nicole Kidman. The film is said to be an erotic thriller about a career woman in her 40s who ends up having an affair with a 21-year-old intern.
The film is directed by Halina Reijn, she helmed last year’s A24 breakout “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies.” No further plot or casting details were given to me.
Kidman is currently shooting Mimi Cave’s “Holland, Michigan.” After that she’ll have a little break time before production kicks off on “Babygirl” in August.
