Only “Avengers: Endgame” got there faster, with the 2019 blockbuster pulling in a staggering $1.2 billion during its three-day opening weekend.
Domestically, “Brand New Day” has now grossed $407M, becoming the fastest film ever to cross $400M at the U.S. box office, doing so in just four days. The film is also rewriting the record books with the biggest Monday in domestic box office history — a remarkable hold for a superhero movie that clearly isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
And that Monday was a monster. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” reportedly pulled in a record-breaking $47M on Monday, further cementing its extraordinary run and putting it firmly on track for an enormous theatrical haul.
