The Cannes Film Festival has not yet officially announced its full jury lineup, but reports suggest a very good reason why there has been such a delay.
According to Page Six Hollywood, “Euphoria” star Jacob Elordi, 28, is no longer expected to serve on the jury after recently breaking his foot, with organizers now “trying to replace him” ahead of the festival.
This year’s jury will be led by South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook, whose acclaimed films including “Old Boy,” “Thirst,” and “Decision to Leave” have all previously screened at Cannes. His appointment as jury president sets a strong auteur-driven tone for the festival, which runs from May 12 to May 23.
Beyond Park’s role, the rest of the jury remains unconfirmed, with speculation still circulating around potential members. Rumors had suggested Elordi, Demi Moore, and Chloé Zhao could be involved. For now, however, Cannes is keeping its final selections tightly under wraps, with an announcement — potentially including Elordi’s replacement — possibly coming today or tomorrow.
