John Krasinski to Direct ‘A Quiet Place 3’ — Sets July 2027 Release Date

August 1, 2025 Jordan Ruimy

John Krasinski is officially set to direct ‘A Quiet Place 3.’ Paramount confirmed the news this afternoon , with the studio setting a July 9, 2027 release date.

No cast has been announced yet, but the first two films starred Krasinski, Emily Blunt, alongside Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe as their children. It remains to be seen whether the third installment will continue their storyline or shift focus, especially after the recent spin-off

The potential titles are endless for this third chapter in the shushing franchise.

Qui3t Place
A Qui3t Plac3
A Good Day to Quiet Hard
Be Quiet With A Vengeance
A Quiet Place in Space
A Quiet Place 3

Whatever title Krasinski chooses to go with, and as can be attested above, he has many options, one thing is for certain: this franchise has run its course. Who’s asking for a third ‘Quiet Place’? This was a one movie idea.

“A Quiet Place,” released in 2018, was a strong directorial effort from Krasinski. It even made my top 20 list that year. The second one, released three years later, was mediocre. Then we got the prequel, Michael Sarnoski’s “A Quiet Place: Day One,” which led us back to when the alien invasion first started.

The threequel was first announced by Paramount in 2022, shortly after “A Quiet Place Part II.” It was initially revealed with a 2025 release date, but was ultimately abandoned in favor of ‘Day One.’ Now, it’s back.
