Craig Brewer’s Snoop Dogg biopic has cast Jonathan Daviss in the lead role (via Deadline). No word yet on when production is set to begin.
Daviss is best known for playing Pope Heyward on Netflix’s hit series “Outer Banks.” Raised in Tennessee and later Texas, he began acting in small TV roles before landing this breakout performance in 2020
Universal’s long-gestating Snoop biopic was sped up on Friday when it got reported that Brewer (“Hustle & Flow”) was hired to direct the still-untitled film. Expect more casting to be announced in the coming days and weeks.
