The big movie event this weekend is Joseph Kosinski’s “F1,” a 156-minute adrenaline rush that shamelessly leans into every crowd-pleasing cliché in the book. And you know what? It works. The you-are-there race scenes are some of the best ever put on celluloid.
Audiences are showing up, too. As of Friday night, “F1” has pulled in $25M and is on track for a $60M+ opening weekend. That would be an impressive debut for a non-franchise original — if not for its towering $250M production budget.

As expected, Snyder's latest is being torn apart by TIFF attendees. No mercy given. The film, which had its world premiere this evening, is being called by some one of the worst movies to ever premiere at the festival.
