Last night, Bong Joon ho’s first film in six years had its world premiere in London. As with every time a film screens in advance, and people go to social media for likes and reposts, take these “Mickey 17” notices with a slight grain of salt. I’ve tried to only include critics in my rundown. Actual reviews will hit tomorrow afternoon after its Berlin screening.
The short version: "Woman Unknown" was a compromise. The jury deadlocked over "Possible Love" and "NAZA," not able to com to terms, fell back on their #3, May el-Toukhy's film.
