Michael B. Jordan is “Proud" of Jonathan Majors' “Resilience"

February 12, 2025 Jordan Ruimy

Speaking of comebacks. We’re seeing quite a few of them taking shape. It’s not just Will Smith, or even Armie Hammer, who are in the middle of cleansing their past misdeeds.

Jonathan Majors is also attempting a return to the industry as his “Magazine Dreams” is finally being released in March via Briarcliff Entertainment. Majors is also set to star in Martin Villeneuve’s “Merciless,” and this is coming off the actor having recently been honored with a “perseverance” trophy at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards.

One person who is willing to work again with Majors is his “Creed III” director and star Michael B. Jordan who, quite controversially, tells GQ magazine that he’s been impressed by Majors’ “resilience” throughout his ordeal with the law.

Jordan tells GQ it was a “tough situation” to watch unfold, but that “yes,’ if the opportunity ever came to pass, he would absolutely work again with Majors. They seem to still be in touch with each other.

“He’s doing great, just got engaged,” Jordan added of Majors. “I’m proud of his resilience and his strength through it all, and [his] handling [of] it. I’m glad he’s good. That’s my boy.”

Majors’s once-promising career was derailed after having been convicted of reckless assault and harassment in December. He was sentenced to a 52-week, in-person domestic violence intervention program in April. The case, which had been extensively reported on, for many months, involved an altercation Majors had with his girlfriend in March of 2023.

Majors was supposed to reprise his role as Kang in the next ‘Avengers’ flick but was fired from the role in February after being found guilty. As it stands, his last screen credit was for 2022’s Disney+ series “Loki,” in which he reprised his role as Kang the Conqueror. No word yet as to when Villeneuve’s “Merciless” begins production.
