As production continues on Robert Eggers’ “Werwulf,” some first-look images are leaking from the UK, albeit in very blurry fashion. Below we can see, barely, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who clearly plays the werewolf, covered in blood and howling his lungs off.
“Werwulf,” described as a gothic horror epic, stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, and Ralph Ineson. The film is said to take place in 13th-century England and, although no plot details have emerged, the title suggests it will most likely involve a werewolf.
That said, take the below images for whatever they’re worth — they only tease at what’s coming. “Werwulf,” which is being shot on 35mm film in a 1.37:1 aspect ratio, is slated for a Christmas 2026 release via Focus Features.
