Fresh off a breakout performance in Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another”—a film that’s turned her into one of Hollywood’s most buzzed-about rising stars—Chase Infiniti has decided that her next film will be more low-key.
It’s actually nothing big. An indie. Infiniti has joined the cast of “The Julia Set,” co-starring with Christopher Brinley, Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs. Production has already begun in London. The writer-director is Niki Byrne.
In the movie, Infiniti takes on the role of Julia, a gifted mathematician navigating the cutthroat world of academia. Briney portrays Pascal, a teaching assistant who recruits her to join an exclusive training program for the prestigious and notoriously difficult Putnam mathematics competition.
Before this sudden surge of attention, Infiniti held her own opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in Apple TV+’s “Presumed Innocent,” a surprise hit that scored a Season 2 renewal. Next up, she’s set to appear in Hulu’s “The Testaments,” the continuation of “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
