Paramount and Skydance have agreed to terms on an $8 billion merger. The deal will be announced in the coming days. The consensus was that Paramount merging with Sony was a bad idea. Thank the heavens that didn’t happen. Regardless, we know that this all leads to the inevitable outcome of Hollywood having only two or three studios left — it could happen in 10, max 20, years, but that’s where things are headed right now.
