Kevin Spacey Tearfully Admits Having No Money and Owing “Many Millions" in Legal Fees

June 11, 2024 Jordan Ruimy

A tearful Kevin Spacey is telling Piers Morgan that he’s facing bankruptcy, and has a house in foreclosure due to the “many millions” in legal bills that he owes.

The two-time Oscar winner is attempting to revive his career amidst accusations of sexual misconduct against him. The full interview between Morgan and Spacey will appear later tonight, but a preview clip was shared in which Spacey broke down in tears when asked about his living situation.

“Where do you live now?” Morgan asked.

The actor responded by burying his head and crying.

“Well, it’s funny you asked that question because this week where I have been living in Baltimore is being foreclosed on. My house is being sold at auction, so I have to go back to Baltimore and put all of my things in storage. So the answer to that question is I’m not quite sure where I’m going to live now, but I’ve been in Baltimore since we started shooting House of Cards,” he said.

Asked how much money he has, Spacey claimed he has “none” and he owes “many millions” in legal bills.

This year, after a handful of legal wins, a few Hollywood actors, including Liam Neeson, Sharon Stone, F. Murray Abraham and Stephen Fry, came out in defense of Spacey, stating that he deserved an acting comeback in Hollywood.

Although Spacey appears to have emerged from multiple legal wins, still, nobody in Hollywood wants to hire him. His name has been tarnished. These days, once you’re accused, it’s very hard to escape that shadow, even if the accusations against you turn out to be false or unwarranted. Whether Spacey is guilty or not, it doesn’t seem to matter.

Spacey was one of the great living actors before he got embroiled in these controversies, his career highlights included marquee roles in “American Beauty”, “The Usual Suspects”, “Se7en”, “Glengary Glen Ross”, “L.A. Confidential” and “The Negotiator”.
