Zack Snyder Plans to Make, at Least, 6 ‘Rebel Moon’ Movies

April 18, 2024 Jordan Ruimy

It’s far worse than we could have ever imagined.

Zach Snyder spoke to RadioTimes about a potential third film to ‘Rebel Moon’ and, despite the bad reviews and lukewarm audience response, Snyder is now talking about as many as six films by the time everything's said and done.

I guess four makes sense. Four or six movies, depending... I guess it's whether or not every time we make one of these movies we make two, that's the question.

Lord almighty, somebody stop him.

Snyder confirms that he and his team have also been closely following fan response to see if the future sequels wouldn’t be two-part epics like the first.

We were talking about it the other day and I was like, would an audience be disappointed if they only got one movie now from Rebel Moon? Would they be like, 'Oh, it's one now? Great.'

The more Zack Snyder speaks, the more delusional he gets. That’s the only conclusion I can come up with, between his desire to “fix” “Sucker Punch” and now, hinting at a six ‘Rebel Moon’ movies.

Snyder’s “Rebel Moon - Part 1: A Child of Fire” bombed hard with critics — the most recent tally has it at 21% on Rotten Tomatoes and 31 on Metacritic. I doubt the upcoming R-rated director’s cut will turn it into a good film. The second film, “Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver,” will be available on Netflix tomorrow.
