Cannes Directors' Fortnight Lineup Announced

The 55th edition of Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight, the parallel section known as Quinzaine des Cinéastes, has announced its 2024 line-up. This year, 21 feature films, curated by delegate General Julien Rejl, will be screened.

The opening night film is “This Life Of Mine,” by French filmmaker Sophie Fillières. The closing night film is the dark comedy “Plastic Guns,” directed by Jean-Christophe Meurisse.

There are four American filmmakers in the lineup, including Tyler Taormina’s “Christmas Eve In Miller’s Point,” Carson Lund’s “Eephus,” Ryan J. Sloan’s “Gazer,” and India Donaldson’s “Good One,” which was a breakout hit at this past January’s Sundance Film Festival.

Notable world filmmakers include Patricia Mazuy’s “Visiting Hours” starring Isabelle Huppert, “The Hyperboreans”, a new film from “The Wolf House” directors Cristobal Leo & Joaquin Cocina, and Jonás Trueba’s “The Other Way.”
