Warner Bros. and Legendary's “Dune: Part Two” grossed an estimated $4.5 million on Wednesday. Its total domestic gross now stands at $172 million. This is an indication of a possible $30 million third weekend coming up for ‘Dune 2’ — that’s only a 30% drop. It should be crossing the $200 million mark by Sunday. The repeat customers on this one are off the chain. I would say a $250 million final tally is looking very likely, and, who knows, it’s now not out of the question to believe $300 million could happen.
Edward Berger seems to have settled on what comes next. His Lance Armstrong biopic, starring Austin Butler, is now holding casting calls, with production eyed for January.
