Empire City is hinting at a possible trailer drop for Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator 2” this coming Sunday during the Super Bowl. That would make a lot of sense given the CBS and Paramount connections. It’s also the definition of a “Dad” movie — which is the core demographic for football watching. Before Scott wrapped production on “Gladiator 2,” he had mentioned that 50% of the film had already been edited during the strike. So, there is a lot of clean footage that can be used for a 30-second ad.
Netflix and Skydance Animation have also called it quits. The two sides announced Monday that they're ending the animated film deal struck back in 2023, framing it as a mutual decision.
