James Gunn is teasing that it won’t be long before we got our first footage of David Corenswet in “Superman.” The trailer is “tentatively expected” to arrive online around mid-December. It's also scheduled to appear in theaters with Disney's “Mufasa: The Lion King.”
The amount of pressure Gunn has with “Superman” is unheard of. Warner Bros, and particularly David Zaslav, are betting all of their chips on Gunn’s DCU, and if it gets off to a rocky start then heads will have to roll. I’m cautiously optimistic that we’ll get a good film.
“Superman,” which wrapped production in August, is set to star Corenswet, Rachel Bronahan Nicholas Hoult , Skyler Gisondo, Anthony Carrigan and Isabela Merced. The film will be released in theaters worldwide on July 11, 2025
