James Gunn has confirmed having already finished an “assembly cut” of “Superman.” He’s now posted a second official image of the film, which has Supes watching over the planet with his canine buddy Krypto.
The amount of pressure Gunn has with “Superman” is unheard of. Warner Bros, and particularly David Zaslav, are betting all of their chips on Gunn’s DCEU, and if it gets off to a rocky start then heads will have to roll. I’m cautiously optimistic that we’ll get a good film.
Gunn’s “Superman,” which wrapped production in August, is set to star David Corenswet, Rachel Bronahan Nicholas Hoult , Skyler Gisondo, Anthony Carrigan and Isabela Merced. The film will be released worldwide on July 11, 2025
