Rebecca Zlotowski’s Next Film to Star Jodie Foster & Daniel Auteil

October 11, 2024 Jordan Ruimy

French filmmaker Rebecca Zlotowski is coming off the acclaimed “Other People’s Children,” and she’s now deep in production on her next film (via Variety’s Elsa Keslassy).

Jodie Foster is set to star in “Vie Privée” (“Private Life”), Zlotowski’s next directorial effort. Daniel Auteil is also part of the cast (via Fabien Lemercier). The film is currently filming in France which means it’ll probably be ready for Cannes 2025 submission. No plot details have been revealed.

Foster, who was last seen on-screen in “Nyad,” and on HBO’s “True Detective: Night Country,” is very picky with her roles, and selecting Zlotowski’s next film seems to be more of a passion pick for the actress as she had previously mentioned being a fan of Zlotowski’s. Foster also speaks fluent French, so it won’t be a problem for her to adapt to the language.

As mentioned, Zlotowski is coming off “Other People’s Children,” the biggest film of her career, both commercially and critically. Her past efforts also include “An Easy Girl,” “Grand Central” with Lea Seydoux, and “Planetarium” with Natalie Portman.
