Selena Gomez is looking for her Oscar role and it might come in the form of playing ‘70s musical icon Linda Ronstadt.
As I had reported last July, Gomez only confirmed the casting today, via Rolling Stone. James Keach, who produced the award winning Ronstadt documentary, “The Sound of My Voice”, penned the screenplay. No director has been announced yet.
Gomez is absolute perfect casting, just look at the picture above, she looks exactly like the musical legend, but can she sing? Ronstadt, known for “You’re No Good” and “Blue Bayou,” has been battling Parkinson’s for a few years now — this film could be a wonderful tribute to her legendary career.
