Some news about this very exciting project. Javier Bardem is in talks to play a wealthy Mexican race team owner in Joseph Kosinski’s “F1.”
Kerry Condon was also added to cast last week, in an undisclosed role. Lewis Hamilton, an actual driver of the sport, is involved as a producer and will likely play himself.
Kosinski’s film will start production next month. The plan is for Apple to distribute the film theatrically in 2024.
In “F1,” Brad Pitt stars as a Formula One driver that comes out retirement to race again. Pitt will actually be driving an F1 car in the film, designed by Mercedes. Kosinski confirmed the development of the smallest moveable 6k camera ever designed to take the viewer into the cockpit.
