Joachim Trier has set up his next film, this one an as-yet-untitled family drama set in Oslo. He’ll team-up with co-writer Eskil Vogt. No other details were given, but the film is set to shoot next year.
Trier has become a hot commodity ever since his 2021 film “The Worst Person in the World” became a major breakout worldwide. Cannes buzz certainly helped that film.
This is set to be Trier’s sixth film after ‘Worst Person,’ “Oslo August 31st,” “Louder Than Bombs,” “Thelma” and “Reprise.” Maria Ekerhovd of Mer Film and Andrea Berentsen Ottmar of Eye Eye Pictures will produce.
