I don’t believe this will happen, but it’s turned into a possibility. According to the forecasters over at Box-Office Pro, “The Marvels” could earn as little as $35 million this weekend, and could go as high as $49 million — the latter would still be a catastrophic number for this $273 million costing movie. It’s a shocking figure. The original film earned $153 million in its opening weekend. Disney’s so desperate to pump these lacklustre numbers up that, in a hail mary attempt, they released one last trailer this week, one that recruited footage from past “Avengers” movies. We’ll see how “The Marvels” does as Thursday previews commence tonight.
The short version: "Woman Unknown" was a compromise. The jury deadlocked over "Possible Love" and "NAZA," not able to com to terms, fell back on their #3, May el-Toukhy's film.
