Yes, that’s an actual line from the “Madame Web” trailer. What can I say? When you hire the writers behind “Morbius” you’re bound to get some real gems of dialogue.
This might be the worst trailer of the year. Almost every moment, every line of dialogue, can be mocked. Also, Dakota Johnson’s line delivery, especially her voice-over, is laughably stale — she sounds like she has problems reading her lines.
Much like “Venom” and “Morbius,” doesn’t this Sony-produced movie look like it was made in 2004? The like-to-dislike ratio for the trailer is pretty wild. People clearly don’t like it. Not only is it coming out at a time when “superhero fatigue” is at its apex, but it’s also looks like a bad movie.
Then again, it’s hard to complain about a trailer that features Sydney Sweeney throwing punches in spandex. Will Dakota also get a suit? We’ll find out when “Madame Web” is theatrically released on February 14, 2024.
