Joe Biden Got Scared of AI After Watching ‘Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning - Part One’

October 31, 2023 Jordan Ruimy

This is not a parody.

An official White House press release has announced that after watching “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning,” President Joe Biden realized that AI was a far graver threat to humanity than he had originally imagined.

Biden has now decided to sign an executive order establishing new standards and security measures regarding artificial intelligence … Someone should screen tell him to watch “The Terminator” or “2001: A Space Odyssey.”

In all seriousness, whether or not Biden actually did watch the movie, and there are plenty on social media who believe he might have slept through it, this is some free marketing for ‘Dead Reckoning,’ which was released on VOD just two weeks ago.

In “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning,” the main villain is AI. The super software is always one step ahead of Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt, predicting what will happen even before it occurs, which turns out to be a major headache for Hunt and his gang. To destroy the software, Hunt needs to find a key that’s been separated into two entities, but the problem is that everyone from the CIA to Esai Morales’ baddie are trying to get it.

The Associated Press adds that Biden was further “impressed and alarmed” after seeing “fake AI images of himself” and learning about the “terrifying technology of voice cloning.” However, according to the AP, Biden’s concern about AI grew exponentially after watching “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” at Camp David.

Biden will sadly have to wait until June 2025 to find out what happens to humanity and AI, that’s when the sequel to “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” gets released in theaters.
