Apparently, another blockbuster is set to open soon. Deadline’s Mike D’Alessandro is just as surprised as you are about the early numbers for Universal/Blumhouse’s “Five Nights at Freddy‘s.”

The feature, directed by Emma Tammi, is based on a popular horror videogame, and it’s looking at a $50M+ start possibly even more. The numbers seem to be “fueled by a very passionate under 25 demo.”

Now, here’s the most fascinating part about these numbers: “Five Nights at Freddy's” is scheduled to be released simultaneously in theaters and on Peacock. Just think of all the money Universal squandered by having this one immediately go to streaming …
