This might be our last critics poll of the year. After Nolan, Spielberg and Scorsese, and as we’re less than a month away from “Napoleon” being released, I think I’ll start a new critics poll, this time tackling Ridley Scott’s best films. I’m guessing “Alien” and “Blade Runner” will be fighting it out for that #1 spot, but numbers 3–10 are anybody’s best guess. Scott, 85, has directed 28 films in his career, some of his other notable work includes “Gladiator,” “Black Hawk Down,” “American Gangster,” “The Duellists,” “Thelma and Louise,” and “The Martian.”
Reeves is supposed to direct, David E. Kelley is writing, and just like that, Apple got cold feet — the usual “creative differences” excuse is being cited in the report, and maybe that was indeed the case.
