It doesn’t look as though “Killers of the Flower Moon” — starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone and Robert De Niro — will cross the $30 million mark this weekend, that’s too bad. The latest numbers have it opening at around $24 million. Not bad. It’s the third-best nationwide opening of Scorsese’s career, right behind 2010’s Shutter Island ($41 million) and 2006’s The Departed ($26.9 million). Scorsese also tied his career best audience CinemaScore as ‘Killers’ garnered an A- score, tying it with “The Departed” and “Goodfellas” as the best of his career.
Earlier this year, Zack Snyder mentioned having seen James Gunn’s “Superman.” Heaping praise on it. Now he’s saying he actually hasn’t caught up with it yet?
