James Cameron Loved ‘RRR’ So Much He’s Seen it Twice

January 16, 2023 Jordan Ruimy

This is pretty great. James Cameron and SS Rajamouli bumped into each other at the critics choice awards and had an impromptu 10-minute conversation about Rajamouli’s “RRR.” It turns out Cameron has seen the 3+ hour Indian epic twice already.

Rajamouli, who has become an unlikely star of this year’s awards season, wrote about his glee about meeting Cameron on Twitter. He mentioned the conversation was mostly Cameron analysing his film 'RRR'.

“The great James Cameron watched 'RRR'.. He liked it so much that he recommended to his wife Suzy and watched it again with her. Sir I still cannot believe you spent a whole 10 minutes with us analyzing our movie. As you said I AM ON TOP OF THE WORLD... Thank you both."

Earlier, Rajamouli had a fanboy moment when he met Steven Spielberg: "I just met GOD!!!" Rajamouli tweeted over a picture of him and Spielberg.

Don’t discount “RRR” from being nominated for Best Picture. It still has a major chance at sneaking into the final ten. It’s become such a great story. There are seven locks in the BP race and three open spots with films like “Babylon,” “The Whale,” “Glass Onion,” “All Quiet on the Western Front,” “Triangle of Sadness” and “Women Talking” battling it out.
