A fairly chaotic day in the comments section. I’ve had to sadly temporarily and permanently ban a few users from commenting. I hate to do it, but when enough readers personally complain then there is no alternative. The chaos was a little too much and I want this to continue being a spirited, lively but respectful place to discuss film.
As I’ve stated in the past, please keep discussions civil, so that everyone feels that they can have their say. Those who breach this simple guideline will be given a suspension that may turn permanent.
This is a place to talk about movies and not to insult each other’s mothers, cousins, nephews etc. I hate to “ban” people since I love lively discussion of film. but today it had to be done again.
Note: Part of the reason why the Mel Gibson/Passion article was pure anarchy is because the Drudge Report linked to it. That will sometimes occur, and there’s no point in banning anybody from there since these tend to be one-time readers who come on here solely for that article alone.
