Inarritu Using a Pendulum to Convey the Spirit of Bergman

September 28, 2022 Jordan Ruimy

The title speaks for itself.

Fresh off the “Bardo” fiasco he’s had to deal with at Venice and potentially on a break from cutting more “Bardo” scenes, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is using a pendulum to confirm to himself that Ingmar Bergman’s spirit is very much with him.

This short video, one of the most unintentionally funny things I’ve seen online in a very long time, has to be seen to be believed. Maybe he can team-up with Ana de Armas on his next film as the actress recently confirmed she went to Marilyn Monroe’s grave to get the OK to play the late actress in “Blonde.”

Unconfirmed, but rumor has it that Inarritu is also using that same pendulum to figure out exactly which scenes from “Bardo” he need to cut and which ones he needs to add back to his upcoming magnum opus.
