Well, it’s official, the madman is actually going through with this thing. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Francis Ford Coppola is already in pre-production on “Megalopolis.”
The production is set to begin in November and run through March 2023. The cast includes Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, Forest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne and Jon Voight.
The legendary Oscar-winning director is self-funding the new film “Megalopolis,” a passion project more than three decades in the making. The cost is said to be around $120 million for the epic.
“Megalopolis” is said to be a Roman-style epic in the story of an architect who wants to rebuild a utopian New York City after a devastating disaster.
