Confirmed: Ari Aster’s ‘Disappointment Blvd’ Will Be Released in 2023

June 28, 2022 Jordan Ruimy

As mentioned yesterday, there are only a few question marks remaining for 2022: David Fincher’s “The Killer” and Ari Aster’s “Disappointment Blvd.”

The latter has been in a constant state of intrigue. A 4-hour cut was assembled by Aster, we have no idea if that’s going to be the actual runtime for the theatrical release.

We didn’t know if the film would even be coming out this year. Well, now we have a solid confirmation. A rep for A24 has confirmed to me that “Disappointment Blvd” will be released in 2023.

That means renowned auteurs like Lanthimos, Glazer, Anderson and Aster have all had their films bumped to next year. The 2022 field is indeed already crowded. Now, let’s hope Fincher’s “The Killer” can be ready for a December release.
