Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘Megalopolis’: Potential Cast List Leaked — Driver, Pacino, Mirren, Freeman …

April 21, 2022 Jordan Ruimy

A potential cast list for Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” has leaked online (via DeuxMoi). This isn’t any kind of confirmation, take it with a grain of salt, but here goes ..

Adam Driver seems to have taken the lead role, edging out potential competition from Christian Bale, Matt Damon and Chris Pine.

Al Pacino is said to have been cast in a small role. Others rumoured to be part of the cast include Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman, Susan Sarandon, Danny DeVito, and Tracy Adkins.

The project is aiming for a September shoot in the Pacific Palisades. The plan is said to start revealing the cast one-by-one on a weekly basis ala what Christopher Nolan did with “Oppenheimer.”

A Variety interview with Coppola stated “Megalopolis,” which would mark his first film since 2011’s “Twixt,” could potentially go into production in the fall. It’s been reported that Coppola will invest $120 million of his own money to make the damn thing
