They have started to test-screen Alex Garland’s “Men.” Expect twisty sci-fi when it comes to Garland’s latest mindbender.
The writer-director of “Ex-Machina” and “Annihilation” is reuniting with A24 for this latest film. Jessie Buckley (“I’m Thinking of Ending Things) is set to play a woman who goes on a solo vacation to the English countryside after the death of her ex-husband.
Not much else is known about the film, but Garland had originally revealed that he was working on a “low-budget horror movie” which was going to be set in the UK. Perhaps it’s “Men.” Perhaps it’s not.
Regardless, “Men” will be screened tomorrow evening in Burbank, California. My email inbox is open to receiving reactions. The film’s official release is set for May 20th, 2022.
