I’m starting to wonder if we’ll be getting two Yorgos Lanthimos films next year, much like we’re supposedly getting a double from Wes Anderson. That’s how jam-packed next year’s lineup of prestige films is looking right now.
Lanthimos has supposedly just wrapped filming “AND” in New Orleans. He also has “Poor Things” ready to go, probably at a high-tier Festival like Cannes or Venice.
Some footage of Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons on the set of ‘AND’ leaked online this past week. It looks groovy. Plot details have been kept under wraps. However, it is being speculated that “AND”, co-written by Efthymis Filippou (The Lobster, The Killing of A Sacred Deer), will tell three separate stories; each letter representing a different tale.
As for “Poor Things,” I broke the news during the summer that it was delayed until next year. I’m not sure exactly what the reason for that delay was.
