‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ is Dominating This Season’s Critics Groups; Now #1 on Gold Derby

December 17, 2022 Jordan Ruimy

I never thought “TÁR” would just win the two most important critical voting bodies, New York and Los Angeles, and then nothing else. That’s it. No other Best Film award. Everything else has gone to, well, ‘Everything Everywhere’ …

Just in case you’re not keeping track, The Daniels’ “Everything Everywhere All At Once” has so far won critics honors in Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles (TIE), Southeastern, Washington, Utah, St. Louis, Indiana, Dallas, North Texas and Philadelphia.

A major momentum boost has occurred for ‘Everything Everywhere’ these last few weeks, there’s no doubting that. It’s even now at #1 on Gold Derby’s pundits consensus chart. It’s no longer Steven Spielberg’s “Tge Fabelmans,” which has held on to the top spot since it screened at TIFF in September.

Martin McDonagh’s “The Banshees of Inisherin” won Chicago and Phoenix.

“Top Gun: Maverick” nabbed the coveted National Board of Review’s top prize.

Left to announce their winners: Austin, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Florida, Georgia, Houston, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas City, Nevada, North Carolina, North Texas, Oklahoma, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis and Toronto
