Russian filmmaker Andrey Zvyagintsev, the director behind The Return, Loveless & Leviathan, is reportedly fighting for his life against COVID complications in Germany (he was transferred abroad). The Russian feed @bazabazon says he sustained damage to of his lungs.
Zvyagintsev fell ill in early July. That same month he was hospitalized at the Federal Scientific Clinical Center of the FMBA. At the end of the month, Andrei was discharged, but a week later became sick again and was hospitalized. Soon after, the director's condition worsened — he was diagnosed with almost 90% of his lungs damaged.
