Catherine Breillat Coming Out of Retirement to Direct New Film

According to producer Saïd Ben Saïd, Catherine Breillat is about to shoot a new film. It had been widely assumed that 2014’s excellent, Bunuel-esque “Abuse of Weakness” would be her final film, so cinephiles rejoice. [via Twitter] I interviewed Breillat more than 6 years ago and she was quite adamant that there was no future for more films in her career. That seems to have changed, Breillat is known for her countless cinematic provocations which includes the likes of “Romance,” Fat Girl,” and “The Last Mistress.” Stay tuned …
