Catherine Breillat Coming Out of Retirement to Direct New Film

According to producer Saïd Ben Saïd, Catherine Breillat is about to shoot a new film. It had been widely assumed that 2014’s excellent, Bunuel-esque “Abuse of Weakness” would be her final film, so cinephiles rejoice. [via Twitter] I interviewed Breillat more than 6 years ago and she was quite adamant that there was no future for more films in her career.
