Woody Allen Being Smeared Again in Upcoming HBO Doc

February 5, 2021 Jordan Ruimy

Here we go again.

HBO is set to pull-off another heavily-biased accusatory documentary, purposely avoiding facts to further drive an obvious agenda, such as they did with the embarrassing “Finding Neverland.” This time around it’s the scandal and drama of “Allen V. Farrow.

HBO Documentary Films announced the secretly-made new doc from “investigative filmmakers” Kirby Dick & Amy Ziering and Amy Herdy. A four-part documentary series that goes through the Woody Allen scandal, it seems the story being told here is through the eyes of the not-to-be-trusted Mia Farrow. Not only that, they’ve already released a teaser trailer that hints at the same bullshit insinuations we’ve been fed by the Farrow clan the past three decades.

I’ll get to the crux of the argument for Woody Allen’s innocence, but, just to recap this sordidly tragic affair, the accusation of sexual abuse against Allen involves Dylan, his then seven-year-old daughter with Mia Farrow;  The public disclosure of the abuse allegations and the court disputes have been going on since 1993. Now, as to why this is maddening. “Allen vs Farrow” is clearly a one-sided hit-piece. Kirby and Ziering were not shy with the New York Times in their skewed belief that Allen committed the crime.

Most Europeans can see through this obvious smear and want Allen to continue making films in their continent, but Americans are too embedded in the “believe all victims” mantra to fully and fairly investigate this matter. I laid out all the facts in my 03.09.20 report titled “The Case for Woody Allen's Innocence.” In the piece, I wrote:

“I am here to present to you the facts, and one thing that needs to be mentioned is that there is no evidence to support Dylan’s claim. But there’s a fair amount of evidence and ample indications that, as Moses stated, Mia Farrow, enraged by Woody’s romance with Soon-Yi Previn, made it all up to get back at Woody during an early ’90s custody battle. Mia’s case isn’t helped when you find out that three days before the alleged abuse, having learned that Woody Allen was having an affair with Soon-Yi, witnesses have attested that Mia Farrow said she would “find a way to stop him.” Mia went as far as to pressure then-nanny Monica Thompson to support the molestation accusations she was shooting against Allen and said another babysitter had serious doubts about the molestation accusation.”

“Allen vs Farrow” debuts on Sunday, February 21 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), with new episodes airing subsequent Sundays at the same time.

Here’s the official synopsis:

This gripping series interweaves new investigative work – meticulously pieced together via intimate home movie footage, court documents, police evidence, revelatory videotape, and never-before-heard audio tapes –  with exclusive, in-depth interviews on the subject with Mia Farrow, Dylan Farrow, Ronan Farrow, family friend Carly Simon, prosecutor Frank Maco, relatives, investigators, experts, and other first-hand eyewitnesses – many of them speaking publicly about the events for the first time.  The series also includes prominent cultural voices exploring Allen’s body of work in a broader context and reflecting on how public revelations about the personal lives of artists can lead to re-evaluations of their work.

ALLEN v. FARROW includes an intimate look at Farrow and Allen’s charmed courtship and emergence as one of Hollywood’s power couples, making thirteen influential films together over a decade. Over time, Allen becoming a father figure to Farrow’s children as well as their shared children. Yet, threaded throughout all of their professional success and personal achievements, there were dark undercurrents at play.

ALLEN v. FARROW examines the shattering effects of trauma on a family and is a haunting depiction of the skepticism and backlash that can result from an accusation.
