Twitter Poll: ‘Dune’ Best of the Year So Far …

November 9, 2021 Jordan Ruimy

I conducted a quick Twitter/Facebook poll this afternoon, asking people to post their five favourite films of the year thus far. Over 100 people participated, and the results were as follows:

Dune (39 votes)
The Green Knight (30)
Titane (25)
Spencer (21)
Pig (20)
Power of the Dog (17)
The Last Duel (16)
CODA (11)
The Card Counter (11)
The Mitchells vs The Machines (10)

Weak year, right? Then again, most of the people who voted in this poll still haven’t seen “Licorice Pizza,” “Cmon Cmon,” “The Lost Daughter,” “Benedetta,” “A Hero,” “Red Rocket” etc.

Jane Campion’s “The Power of the Dog” isn’t coming out until December, but it still managed to finish 7th. One can imagine it topping this poll if it were actually already released.
