MCU Actress Gwyneth Paltrow Doesn't Even Know Who Nick Fury Is

August 10, 2019 Jordan Ruimy

Gwyneth Paltrow seems to be knee-deep in her own little Goop world. So much so that the Marvel Cinematic Universe actress (she plays Iron Man/Tony Stark’s love interest Pepper Potts) had no idea why Samuel L. Jackson made an appearance at Marvel’s the 10th anniversary party. [via Empire Magazine] According to MCU boss Kevin Feige, actors on-set actually confronted Paltrow and asked the Goop mogul “‘What are you talking about? He’s Nick Fury! You’ve been in movies with him.'”

Earlier in the week, Paltrow had another startlingly ignorant moment while appearing on fellow Marvel co-star Jon Favreau’s Netflix series “The Chef Show.” She actually denied that her character Pepper Potts was featured in the Tom Holland-starring “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” “No, I wasn’t in ‘Spider-Man,’” she said, “I was in ‘Avengers,’” she said.

Gulp, or should I say Goop.
