Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” has turned into the hottest show on Broadway.
Screening at Broadway’s Belasco Theater, the month-long screening is such an event that tickets are being scalped on StubHub for hundreds of dollars.
Tickets for the showings of Scorsese’s opus were regularly priced for $17.50 plus tax and service charges, but since Belasco tickets are sold out for practically its entire 3-week engagement, many movie fans have had to turn to secondary markets to nab a golden ticket.
At the high end, there’s a center balcony seat this Friday night for $94. Center orchestra seats are priced at around $100.00. Of course, many will wait for “The Irishman” to hit Netflix to watch the three-and-a-half-hour movie, but it most definitely needs to be seen on the big screen.
For months, people close to CEO David Ellison had hinted that he would leave if state AGs didn't drop their antitrust suit against the $111 billion Warner Bros. Discovery merger.
