‘Joker’ Was Screened at the White House and President Trump ‘Liked It'

November 17, 2019 Jordan Ruimy

Yahoo! News is quoting a senior White House official who confirmed to the outlet that Todd Phillips’ “Joker” was screened for President Trump and “for guests including ‘family, friends, and some staff” at the White House screening room. That same White House official confirmed that President Trump “liked” the movie.

This White House screening is also noteworthy because of the controversy surrounding “Joker” and how the media painted it as an alt-right manifesto which could spark incels yada, yada, yada .. you know the drill with the far-left these days. Anything that may speak the truth about the current times we live in must be disavowed and, hell, even, censored. The notion that we cannot watch something because it doesn’t adhere to far-left ideology is absurd. If anything, the case with ‘Joker” seems to stem from the fact that the movie is such a potent truth serum for what’s happening right now in 2019 that many would rather be in total denial and not confront the issues the film tackles. America has clearly sided with the movie as it has become the first R-rated film in history to attain the billion-dollar mark at the global box-office.

Trump has shown great affection for some cinema over the years, citing classics such as “Citizen Kane,” “Gone With the Wind,” and “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” as personal favorites of his.
